Who Am I
Hello, I'm Uğur AKÇIL
I've spent 21 years building software systems and leading engineering teams in roles where architecture, scalability, and risk decisions carry real production consequences.
My current focus is the engineering shift the AI era is forcing on every company: AI-assisted development positioned as a management discipline. How teams plan work, distribute it across humans and agents, review code, and accelerate without losing quality. Most companies are failing not at the model layer but at the management layer - and that's where most of my managerial, production, and educational advisory time is spent.
I work with organizations across Europe and Türkiye on architecture, platform reliability, and the evolution of engineering practices for AI-native workflows. I guide this transformation across concrete fronts: training teams, automating traditional workflows, redefining developer roles, and equipping managers with the techniques and strategies that restructure their leadership practice for this new era.
